We are a member run club that is built to give back to members who take leadership roles within the club.
Because of the generous travel benefits that can result from taking on one of these roles, they are--as can be imagined--extremely popular with members. However, as popular as they are, leadership roles are not for everyone. Although members perform these roles in their spare time, representing the club is a significant responsibility within the club and as such we hold members to a very high standard. Taking on one of these roles requires that you have excellent organizational skills, a high level of enthusiasm, an exceptional level of tenacity, a positive attitude, dedication, and most importantly follow-through and commitment.

The benefits of being a Member Organizer or a Local Chapter Leader are simple and generous. For each new or existing member that you book onto a club group tour, you earn travel credits that can be used towards discounts on club tours. Earn enough and you can go for free. How Does It Work?
To qualify, the member must present to the GEC club leaders a proven history of relevant leadership, organizational, and follow-through skills. In lieu of this, the GEC club leaders may consider requests from enthusiastic members who present a well thought out and achievable set of plans and goals to bring new members on club tours.

- Member has access to or is part of an organization that gives the member a pool of people to market club tours to (i.e. hospitals, companies, associations, social clubs, or other types of large groups)
- Experience in fields of marketing, sales, group organization, etc
There are two levels of leadership roles, both of which can equally result in earning travel credits that can be used towards discounts on club group tours. - Member Organizer: Finds and organizes people to travel on GEC club group tours. Member Organizers are typically only interested in earning travel credits and prefer to save the socializing for club tours.
- Local Chapter Leader: Like a Member Organizer, the Local Chapter Leaders find and organize people to travel on GEC club group tours. But they also want the social reward of running a Local Chapter, thus they organize and run regular social gatherings in their local area.
This includes access to a variety of professionally planned international adventures and the ability to meet and travel with people from all over the world.

Become a Club Organizer
Many of our Club Organizers are naturals at bringing groups together, but don’t have the time or experience to tackle the complex process of organizing international group tours.

Start a Local Chapter
We are always on the look out for people who are interested in starting up a Local Chapter. It costs you nothing to start a Local Chapter, except your time and commitment. We’ll help you get it going and once it’s up and running we’ll shower you with gifts of generous trip discounts or even free travel for your efforts.
Member lead Local Chapters are the heart and soul of the club.
They are not only a valued social hub where countless friendships
have been made (and even a few romances!), but they
are also the key to expanding the reach of the
club. As we continue to grow, the number of
group tours that the club can organize also increases,
thus allowing for a larger choice of trip
options for our members. Growth in
the club also helps to reduce the costs
of the trips through larger volume
discounts from our travel suppliers.
There is no doubt that the club wouldn’t be what it is today without the unwavering efforts of the Local Chapter Leaders, and the club has been set up from the beginning to recognize this.
